Malakai Age 4

Malakai turned 4 this last Thursday. This post is late, as life has been insane and it is harder to blog in the summer time. These pictures are in reverse order that I wanted them to be, but I don't know how to change it. Oh well, you get the point. I can't believe how quickly life has gone by. When I look back these four years have really flown by and it suddenly that in only four more years this little boy will be 8 years old and getting ready for baptism!

Kai Kai is 36 inches tall, and 29 lbs. I love this kid with all my heart. He has taught me so much. He has boundless energy and quite a large amount mischief to his personality. He loves to give hugs and kisses, especially to his brother, until the hugs turn into wrestling that is. He will often come to a family member and say "I like you!" for no specific reason. If someone is sad or hurt he wants to help them. He loves to help!! The best I way I can get him to do something is to say "Kai Kai do you want to be my helper?" to which he quickly responds "Yes, I do!". He asks literally hundreds of questions a day. Generally asking why I am doing something, or why we are going somewhere. Sometimes his questions don't quite make sense, or he keeps repeating the same few questions over and over. Sometimes it is quite frustrating, but most of the time I enjoy having a deeper conversation with my little boy than he used to be capable of. Sometimes he will say something while I am talking to someone else and I remind him to not interrupt. I know he doesn't understand the concept yet because when he wants to say something while I am talking, he will say "Don't interrupt, Mommy." even though he hadn't said anything yet. He recognizes more letters than I realize because when we go through flash cards or he sees a letter, he will suddenly say that is a P, it says puh. It is nice to know that my attempts to teach him things has done something, not only that but he has been recognizing things that I never taught him.  He has been quite the trooper with our recent move to Texas. Sorry it is late, Happy Birthday Kai Kai!

Happy Birthday, Malakai Kai Kai! I love that sweet, chubby faced one year old picture. Oh, how quickly our little twin cousins have grown. I'm so glad Ivy's had her special cousin to grow up with, even if they live far away. I can't wait to get a Kai Kai hug at the end of June.
