Kayden, as you may or may not have heard, hates to be swaddled! I had never heard of that until him, and since mentioning it, a couple of people have said their baby was the same way. It makes putting him to sleep hard because his startle reflex often wakes him up. But when his arms are swaddled he gets very angry! So I wrap him up under his arms and hope he sleeps better. He is starting to at least sleep on his own for some of the time. When he was very first born he would not sleep for more than 10 minutes if he was not held. Now he usually sleeps about half the night in the bassinet(with waking up of course) and the other half he sleeps in our bed, because it means that he will actually go back to sleep. This is the position he likes to be in when he is sleeping. I put him down with his head straight and every time he wakes me up he has moved his head far back like this. It looks very uncomfortable, and I don't want him to hurt his neck, so I always move his head back straight. He never fails to continually put it back though. He is so funny. :)

What a funny kid. I've done similar things with Ivy--trying to get her into a position that looks for comfortable or is deemed safe. And yet they persist in doing exactly what they want to do.
