An Attempt To Catch Up(Campfire and Hee Haw Farms)

A couple of fun things we have done lately is have a couple of campfires up Provo Canyon and go to Hee Haw Farms as a family. Malakai still asks to do both again, but especially Hee Haw Farms.
 S'mores ingredients

 Beautiful fall colors

 Daddy made a campfire.

We got to pet a bunny at Hee Haw Farms. Saying "Hi" to the bunnies was Kayden's favorite part of Hee Haw Farms.
 Playing with hay.
Malakai loved to ride the little tractors.
 Playing in the corn pit.

We got Kayden to pose by one of the little tractors. No kids were on it, as it was missing its front wheel.

Kayden's Birthday

This is obviously very late, but here are pictures of Kayden eating cake for his Birthday. Kai was sick on Kayden's Birthday so we didn't have a party like we wanted, but I did make cupcakes that day for Kayden. Lucky for him, he didn't know it was his birthday. I love my sweet, little, happy baby, and I know I will have a hard time not spoiling him. So far he says more, hi, and ay(yay). He also likes saying oh and ooooh a lot. He stomps his feet when he is both mad and happy, walks all around, dances to music, gives high fives, points, loves animals, and smiles at everyone. Our whole family is so happy that he came to join us, life couldn't possibly be as fun or happy without him. Happy Birthday Kayden!

Riding in a Box and an Art Shirt

Today I gave Malakai and Kayden a ride in this box. They both loved it!

This is Malakai's art shirt. He painted one side one day, and the next day he finished it. For the most part I let him design it completely himself. I wrote his name on the back, but then he started to help me with the letters, and now you can only kind of read his name. It was a great project to keep him out of trouble, and now he has something to wear while doing messy art projects. He is also wearing it to bed tonight, because he didn't want to take it off. It reminds me of when I was little, hiding my clean PJ's so that I could use one of Daddy's shirts to bed.

Brothers Playing

This is the new game Malakai and Kayden like to play. Kai runs to his room and Kayden follows, as soon as Kayden gets there, Kai runs down the hall to the living room. Kayden is a very big fan of his older brother, and Malakai really likes that someone likes to follow him around.

June

I didn't blog at all in June, but here are pictures from it. :)

Kayden with Malakai's helmet:

Malakai's energy level is usually very high(we are still not sure why it takes him so long to walk to and from the car), but one day I asked him if he wanted any grapes, he said yes and sat at the table with the grapes in front of him. I didn't notice at first as I was eating lunch and feeding Kayden, but Malakai was just sitting there, not making any noises, or eating or anything(those of you who know him will see the significance in this). He had been sitting there for about 10 minutes when I asked him again if he wanted to eat the grapes or if he wasn't hungry; he said he was and put a grape in his mouth and did not even chew it. After asking him many questions(Does your head hurt....Are you tired?) and he just always shook his head no, he finally said yes when I asked him if he wanted to lay down. He lay down and I started a show for him and he didn't move hardly at all through the whole show. I decided to take a picture of it because he just doesn't do this at least very often. I think he still has the grape in his mouth here, he did eventually eat it.

This is Malakai and his "girlfriend" that he met at the park. I usually say friend, but they ran around holding hand and she kept trying to get him to hug her and she would follow him around looking for him the second he would leave her sight. Her name was Ciana,(See-ahna) and her hair was adorable.

Kayden's hair is growing! Its very light blond and growing nice and thick in the back. I took this picture because he doesn't have much hair in the front and since his hair is so light, it gives the illusion that he is still almost bald.

Happy 3rd Birthday Malakai!

Today Malakai Aiden Gerber turned 3 years old! Time has gone by so fast, although I'm sure he doesn't think so. On Sunday we had pizza bagels as his Birthday dinner, then we had cake and ice cream for dessert. Malakai took his cake and his "number three"(his candle) very seriously and considered them essential parts to his turning three.

After dessert we gave him his present....an orange strider bike. He absolutely loves it. He has gotten quite a few people giving him smiles in the complex already. Who can blame them? Look at how cute he is on his bike with his little helmet? :)

Henley's Strawberry Farm

We found out just before the end of the season that we are right nearby many farms, including strawberry farms. So of course we had to go to a pick your own strawberry farms and stuff our faces while picking them. Malakai was very good at picking out the ripe red ones and eating as many as he could.

Despite his lack of teeth, Kayden was great at eating strawberries too. I sate him down with one and he happily chomped away while I picked strawberries. When he finished the one he was eating I caught him reaching towards more from the strawberry plant. This kid knows how to fend for himself!

Virginia Beach Central Public Library

There are 7 libraries for the general public in Virginia Beach, yep you heard that right...7! The pictures are from the Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library. I think its supposed to be the biggest and nicest one in Virginia Beach. Its a really cool library, with an awesome kids section.

Kayden's banana photoshoot

Kayden found a very ripe banana and figured out how to get it open on his own.

The Beach

We love being so close to the beach! I think Malakai loves the beach more than all of us. We went once as a family, and twice with Malakai's friend Audry and her Mommy. We probably would have gone more, but we have only had a few nice sunny days to go so far.

Kai at the beach.
 Kayden at the beach.
Some fish on the way to the beach. Kai said "oh hi fish" when he saw them.

I added these two pictures just for fun. This is the way Malakai poses for a pictures. Kayden is just trying to get the frosting over(from my birthday cake).
